This dime is very strange. I can't figure out if this bloating hapened during the striking prosses or afterward while in cerculation. On the FACE side Roosavelts MOUTH, NOSE, and JAW are blistered outwards all the way to and including LIB from the word liberty. On the reverse side the stem of the flower buds on the right side of the torch covering all of the EPLURB from the phrase Eplurbusunum is also blistered out. The blisters don,t line up together and the coin is not perfectly round. It looks like there is something inside the dime or some sort of reaction caused pockets. Does anyone know what happened? I'll try and post a photo
What you're describing is usually caused by a partial lamination. That's where a layer of the metal separates from the underlying metal. In clad coins this can sometimes look like bubbles in the metal where the clad layer had a poor bond to the underlying copper core. But post pics, it could also be a couple of other things and maybe even be cuds.
