This was part of my first "mixed lot" purchase, a group of four coins from Heritage. I didn't like this coin at first and couldn't imagine wanting to collect coins of Roman Egypt <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie8" alt=":D" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />. Now it's one of my primary collecting areas.</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://static.wixstatic.com/media/ae43f8_7423e8e076ba45af976a55d2bd479a6a.jpg_srb_p_1000_493_75_22_0.50_1.20_0.00_jpg_srb" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p>year 13 drachm, Nilus reclining on a crocodile, although the croc looks more like a pygmy hippo. Emmett 1496 (unless there isn't a wreath in the beak, in which case it would be an R4 Emmett 1497... so it's probably 1496).
