Picked up 5 straps of ones today. Surprisingly not a star to be found in the bunch but I did come across 2 sequential birthday notes. I've not ever found one in the wild before. The only thing I could find that was interesting was that Robert Gates was born on 25 September, 1943. They will prolly get tossed back into the strap and deposited this weekend unless there would be any reason to keep them. Is there?
My mother's is 9/11/43. @furryfrog02 you need to go back to the bank and look through the rest of the straps to find where the others are.
I save all $1 birthday notes I find. I consider all date orders savers (yyyy,mm,dd; mm,dd,yyyy; dd,mm,yyyy; etc.). Once I find a friend or acquaintances with a date match I just give it to them. They always remember me! I have found about 15 of them in the last 2 years.
You might check with your local high schools to see if they have annual class reunions. In my area, they have annual class reunions as the old people are going away so fast you don't know if they will last till the next one.
Send the 19430925 note to Robert Gates in a SASE with a short letter and ask him to sign it. Or send it as a gift and perhaps get a nice letter in reply. I’ve had good luck with through the mail autographs and worst case is you’re out a buck and some postage.
I searched the global database and it seems to never fail: Famous Birthdays Address are much harder to find.
An ebay search for "us currency - birthday serial numbers" reveals 8 auctions. The cheapest start is $9 plus shipping. No charge if they don't sell. good luck.
Better off with just "birthday serial numbers" and all categories. Finds over 380. Most "finds" are not nearly as nice as OP.
