That's indeed a stellar list of 2019 additions to your collection. If I have to pick a favorite, I'll go with the Republican didrachm for both eye appeal and historical interest. The Thasos stater would be a close second for me. The Kios hemidrachm gets extra points for extraordinarily beautiful toning, and the Venus Cloacina has outstanding humorous potential. Also, every top ten list should in my humble opinion always contain at least one pachyderm. It seems you had a splendid coin year!
Congratulations, Bing on a fine year of collecting. You added some real gems to your great collection. I love the Thasos AR Stater
What a great year for you @Bing, beautiful coins. I really like the style of the Thasos coin, but wauw that anonymous AR didrachm is wonderful as well.
You forgot a voting function: ALL of them, even the honorable mentions. You and I seem to have very similar tastes in our collection... and well, I like 'em all. I clicked Trikka, cuz the Half-Horse is cool, and I want it.
I voted RR didrachm - but did stare at the Septimius elephant carefully first. A nice Volteius in honorble mentioned too. Best wishes for 2020!
Wow, Bing-- you had a phenomenal year! It's very difficult to assign a favorites order, much less pick a favorite, but the ones that spoke most loudly to me are (in no particular order) the Thasos, Nagidos, the didrachm, the Augustus, and of course the Sewer Goddess .
The Trikka is my favourite because I know how hard it is to find this obverse die in decent condition.
How the heck did I miss this doozy of a thread! Bingaling your coins of the year are sensational! I don't even remember seeing your first nor last coins. Speaking of that fantastic Septy with elephant reverse it is to kill for. And that first one is of such an excellent artistry, just wow what do you think thatnymph was thinking
Exactly what your emoticon is expressing! Thanks for all the nice comments. BTW @Ryro, just how exactly did you miss those threads? Just what were you doing, eh?
@Bing You did ask us to choose a 'Favorite'. I went for the Septimus Severus. I have a soft spot for Elephants.
