I purchased this one for its binary serial number and not until I received it did I notice it could also be a Birthday note (02/20/2000).
The "Rickey Collection" was so named by a great friend of mine Rickey B who posted on here until his untimely passing a few years back, allot of his notes were sold off and this is one of them, when ever i see anything from the Rickey collection it always brings back great memories
Rickey Collection notes are from Dave and Brenda Rickey’s collection, not former member RickeyB. Dave and Brenda own DBR Currency.
It is a shame when a dear member passes, but it is nice that they're preserved in a sense due to this. I don't know if I'll have a collection worthy enough for an "ace71499 collection" but, again it is nice to see impressive numismatics "living on."
No actually you posted while I was writing my post so i didn't see it. Regardless any member of the community (not specifically cointalk but numismatics as a whole), having a "legacy collection" is very cool. I even like the hoard designations, but not at astronomical premiums. I believe they hold some historical value for the community, but little to no individual coin value.
Thanks @ace71499 for the explanation. Typically an alert is shown when I’m still composing my post and another member has posted a comment...it’s really polite and asks me if I want to view it.
