biggest silver stash

Well i have a very limited budget most of the time. so i go to banks andget rolls from time to time sometimes nickel. sometimes pennies. sometimes dollars and then i have to spend it all. in my daily expenses. but this method has proved entirely useless as i have not been able to find even one coin in circulation. i have 2 banls in my area. my account is with a credit union that does not carry cash but they allow minimum of zero dolars inthe account so i am forced to use them. there are 2 other banks inthe area that carry coins but not very helpful. what should i go and tell them to maximize my odds. thanks.

I would limit my searches to halves. I have the most success getting rolls with the following line:

" I have a strange request, I am looking for 50 cent pieces and old IKE dollars" Most of the time they will not have the IKEs so they feel bad and will try to find all the halves they can for you.

If you start to get a little resistance try saying that they are for a poker game. Most of the time they will go around and collect them from other tellers.

Your credit union should take coins back. I would deposit them back to that credit union after you have confirmed that they don't have any halves. You could also see if the credit union will order them for you.

thanks for the info. my credit union does not deal in money notes or coins at all so they wont do anything. i will have to try this at the other 2 banks. I will let everyone know if i find anything.
