So I think my affinity lies with the larger silver coins. Half Dollar size doesn't really do it for me. I *LOVE* Morgans, *LOVE* 8 Reales coins, Maria Theresa Thalers, Trade Dollars, etc. I have some Large silver Bohemian/Caymen coins of similar size too. Can some of you coin veterans point me in the direction of some similarly sized silver coins series that may satisfy my need for larger coins? Thanks in advance!! PS, 5 ounce coins are of no interest. Thanks.
The Netherlands Lion daalder (48 stuiver) , and the 8 reales were used in New Amsterdam, now New York. Also look into Latvia 5 Lati, Cuba ABC Peso, Cuba Star Peso, Mexico Radiant cap, and Mexico Caballito.
There is the 3.85 troy ounce Simon Bolivar(or something like that) coins from the 70's. I think they are $20 face and I can't remember the country for the life of me.
Eisenhower dollars got the size, but at 40% they are impotent. There's no blue pill that can solve Eisenhower's problem.
