Awesome! Thanks for letting us know. I picked up $10 FV Franklin halves for an after-coupon price of $102.05. About $13 less than what I would pay at Provident and about $3.25 under melt! Early Christmas for me
Neither do I. That's why I always have 10 or so items in my watch list, just waiting for a sale like this.
I've been eyeing this $10 Liberty (random date PCGS MS 63) https://www.ebay.com/itm/US-Gold-10...m-Date/302652770881?_trkparms=5079:5000006556 But ended up going with a proof gold Eagle under spot: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-4-oz-Pro...h=item1a24f669b1:g:CMwAAOSwX8dbqPKL:rk:2:pf:0
These silver eagles are also at a decent price after the coupon if someone is looking for silver: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Roll-of-20...52b56ac:g:SQIAAOSwnTdaJ~0H:rk:3:pf:0&LH_BIN=1
...and today's code, PDECKTHEHALLS, is good for 15% off one transaction on items from Home & Garden, Baby, Pet Supplies, Crafts. This one's capped at $100. So, I'm thinking of a nice craft project involving a cheaper-than-melt $10 eagle. If anybody finds any relevant listings, let me know. (It might even be a decoration for our guinea pig's cage, which would make it a legitimate fit in two categories!)
Thanks for posting this. i got the proof 1/4 Gold Eagle too. Never thought I would get one for that low under. I also got two rolls of dimes for under melt two.
The closest thing I've found so far with the new coupon is a bit less than 1/2 ozt of palladium for $580 after coupon, melt value about $560. PALLADIUM ROUND WIRE .950, 5 FEET,- 18,20,22.24,26,28,30 GAUGES, Made In USA If I'm doing all my math, weights and measures correctly: 18 gauge wire = 1.024mm diameter = 0.512mm radius pi * (0.512)^2 = 0.8235mm^2 cross-section 5 feet = 1524mm 0.82355mm^2 * 1524mm = 1255mm^3 = 1.255cm^3 1.255cm^3 * 11.8g/cm^3 = 14.81g 14.81g * 95% = 14.07g Pd 14.07g * $39.83/g = $560.40 I'm not philosophically opposed to listing or buying coins in one of the Craft categories, but I lost a lot of yesterday coupon-chasing, and I'm not really motivated to do it again today.
I'm searching.... I have a few toners listed in home and garden because those are the best places to view them of course!
Welp, couldn't find anything numismatic I really wanted in time, but got wifey a new laptop with a $50 discount
Well I just picked it up from the Post Office... the proof gold coin has either corrosion or oxidation on the cameo both obverse and reverse. Luckily got it for melt so I'll send the other 2 coins in and see if I can't still make some money on this deal.
The usual terms? Valid on coins, but not on bullion? (I never get these, but would like to know for when I'm trying to sell stuff...) Thanks for the post!
