Can anyone tell me if this is an error coin? It looks different to me...

well it has a large bag mark on the obverse. other than that looks like a normal quarter. These quarters do have neat designs. I will make a large topic thread tomarrow about error coins. since that is the most common question that pops up here.

Thank you! I'm still learning and I would enjoy reading your larger thread about errors. Since I'm a newbie I think every coin has an error

It was damaged by a coin roller.

Is that a common error? How can you tell?

It isn't an error..it was damaged post-mint. I can tell because of the specific appearance of the circular scrapes, which I have seen on many coins that were damaged through similar means.

    Keep up the hunt!
