You put the dates in wrong order in your title.. it should be 1776-1976 :watching:

With the spots, I don't think there's any point in trying to get it graded, but I do think it's worth a premium to the right buyer for the color.

There were 40% silver 1976-S and there were non silver 1976-S. Which is this?

It's a nice looking coin to the eye, but probably not worth the cost of grading, as far as increasing its value. If you want to have it graded for your sake (as in to keep it) then only you can answer whether the cost is worth it to you.

I have recently purchased a few clad in MS65 and they range from $15-25 in that grade. I couldn't tell you what yours would grade but it may fetch a little more than the typical sale price (for its grade) because of the color. Again, nice coin.

A very pretty toner and a keeper for sure but I do see some reverse field die deterioration that would likely disappoint in a final grade outcome from a TPG.

    I agree with Endeavor
I have a few clad PR69 and a few silver PR69. I don't think I paid more than $10 for any one of the silvers or $5 for a clad. Whomever had them graded undoubtedly lost money.
    They're not toned either.

    Hi Tom,
Can you share some knowledge and point out the die deterioration you see?
    Thanks,

An interesting thing about the clad 1976-S they have a lower mintage 7 million than the silver, 11 million. But the silver carries a higher premium.

If you click on the photo, it enlarges and presents as the flow lines of metal. I only see it on the reverse in the fields. The obverse looks fine.
