Biafra - One Pound

Acquired this recently,

I remember seeing one in the late 70's when George Harrison put out "Song for Bangladesh", I paid $100 USD. for 100 1's and a 100 5's, haven't looked at 'Um in 30+ years, great notes.

 

The Concert for Bangladesh was in 1971. Not sure I understand the Biafra connection.

Biafra has just as interesting history and i've both notes

 

Wonder if these ever saw circulation or all ended up in The Littleton Coin & Stamp Co. inventory. That's where I got mine many years ago.

 

I've seen a 5 sh. and 5 L on ebay this last month.
Much preferred ragged "circulated" examples are 'dear'...
...costing $5+ postage. Ain't got one yet, therefore.
