Best Places To Coin Search Or Hunt

  1. i work at dunkin donuts. between the tip mug and the register drawer, i have access to lots of coins. i've come across 3 foreign coins (we're located near an amatrak station) and several wheaties and one indian nickle. nothing major, but a few coins to fill my penny album.
the register drawer is difficult to snag coins from because i have to replace what i take and i don't always have change on me. i can usually replace it with something from the tip jar. bottom line, it has to be clear to the cameras that i'm not stealing money. 2 co-workers know i collect coins so that helps...a little.

we get quite a few presidential coins. one co-worker snagged a 2 dollar bill.

    somewhat related to that...

We had an above ground pool installed in my backyard this past summer and they had to dig up the area where the pool was going to be and after everything was installed and done, my dad was just walking around the yard and a glint caught his eye. He walked over and picked up a 1943 Mercury Dime that I guess would be graded at around a VG or F ... buried in the ground for who knows how many years...gotta love the stuff that pops up outta the ground lol
