And the reason for the humidifiers is to promote the safe storage of paper and documents.</p><p><br /></p><p>Given that, since humidity is bad for coins (but good for paper), safety deposit boxes can be bad for coins in that regard. They are great for security reasons, but bad for storage reasons.
