Just to let you in on a little secret: I can't take a picture to save my life - my husband handles that - and the only scans I've done are documents, so don't be so hard on yourself.

Place the coin in the center of the scan bed and scan it (both sides, if it's not too much trouble). Before you save it, crop it to the size of the slab so that we can see the details on the slab and the coin. I would suggest the pictures be 2"-3" across. Save them as .jpg. Don't be disappointed if the coin seems to lose details in the scan. Since it's slabbed, the coin won't always show up the best through the plastic. Hope this helps.
