You know, I've been called a lot of names in my life. Honestly, I probably deserve every one, and more. Quite frankly I'm proud of that fact. However, one of those names I don't ever recall being referred to is stupid. I've looked at the OP and the thread title a few times now. I've also injected the OP'ers reference to it's LIBERTY into the equation, and for the life of me I cannot figure out WTH the OP'er is talking about. So, without beating around the bush any longer I'm going to come right out and ask @Nathan Kristan , what the heck are you getting at here? Do you have a question about this coin? A comment? Something you're trying to teach us? I'm like a deer in the headlights. Please help me help you.
I think, looking at the image the OP posted, regarding Liberty, is that he thinks he sees the letters LIBERTY on the rim of his coin. There are some marks and scratches on there that vaguely resemble letters, but I think I am too sober to see what he thinks he sees.
I think he’s just one of those clever ones who outsmarted himself by thinking if he just comes on here like we’re going to be critical we’ll just fawn all over his great discovery. It’s a reverse psychology sort of thing. Seen it quite often from these real brainy types. Of course they never bother to tell us what we’re supposed to be looking at, too, because, well, that’s just too obvious.
hey Nathan Kristan welcome to Coin Talk. the pictures you have included with your posts are extremely out of focus. keep taking pictures until you can see the coin in the picture clearly. if you have a question about your coin then ask it. i would like to see if i could help and im sure there are a few more that would to.
You see Mike, that's part of the problem. You're welcoming Nathan to CT yet he's been a member for over four years. He's not new to this game. He knows what we need to help him. If he was a noob I wouldn't have 'sounded off'.
Ok, it's a '43 steel cent. Do you have a question about it? Or is there some other point you're looking to make?
