He hired Eric and Lalo for the day to help, paying them both $150.</p><p><br /></p><p>That night Eric came home carrying a coffee can completely filled with change.&nbsp; Almost every coin was bent in some way.&nbsp; He explained to me that when the crane lifted the car smasher, there were piles and piles of bent change that had fallen to the ground under the smasher as the cars were being smashed.&nbsp; This was his and Lalo&#039;s share of what was found.&nbsp; He also said they didn&#039;t bother picking up the pennys, but he said there were thousands.</p><p><br /></p><p>We spent the rest of the night counting the change.&nbsp; There was over $800.00 in bent change.&nbsp; Included was thirteen dollars face value silver coins, mostly dimes and quarters.&nbsp; There was one Morgan dollar that was bent completely bent in half.&nbsp; I have a quarter and a dime somewhere.&nbsp; I will post a pic when I find them.</p><p><br /></p><p>The boys took the coins to the local coin dealer.&nbsp; He bought the silver outright and gave them fifty cents on the dollar for the bent stuff.&nbsp; They walked out of the store with 200 bucks each free money, plus the $150 they got paid that day for helping the uncle.&nbsp; $350.00 for a day&#039;s work.&nbsp; Not bad.</p><p><br /></p><p>Oh, I forgot.&nbsp; They also found three rings and a rusted pistol.&nbsp; They threw the pistol into the weeds.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
