Sadly this magnificent bronze became the target of "political correctness" & was removed in 2017 <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie3" alt=":(" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />. The base of the monument remained in place, & "activists" decided to place a sculpture of a pregnant African-American woman on top of the base <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie9" alt=":eek:" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />.
