On Monday I was buying some 90%, saw a 1949 Franklin Half that looked at least AU, so I bought it, along with about $21 face. When I got home I noticed 2 things: It is a 49-S(!), and though it is not a great strike (not FBL), it is uncirculated, (probably about MS63 good luster and the lettering on the bell is quite sharp) The 2011 red book says $100. I would be glad to get about $80 for it from a LCS.Other past finds: Uncirculated 1939-S, 1947-D, and 1949-D quarters, 1917-S type 1 half in G. What are your best finds?
