Well This is my Best Find of the Weekend. A 1877-S Trade Dollar Slabbed by ANACS.

Seller also had a Slabbed Seated Liberty Dollar that was a little out of my Price Range.

    Hey, that's really nice looking!

    I like it... a lot.

Are we being secretive about the grade? Is this a "GTG" thread? ;)

PS- I briefly owned a nice Seleucid tetradrachm that looked similar to your avatar, but @Aethelred twisted my arm really hard and made me sell it to him.

ANACS Called it AU-58 Details Cleaned. Same grade they gave to the Seated Liberty Dollar.

    I wondered.

    LOOKS LI

Looks like I hit CAPS LOCK by mistake. LOL

    Where was I?

    Oh, yeah.

Looks like the best kind of "cleaned" coin. Cracked out, that's a perfect coin for someone with a raw album type set, like the Dansco 7070.

The slight "problem" and the second-tier plastic likely kept the price down without sacrificing eye appeal. AU58 is a great "bargain" grade for the money (I find nice MS62 coins can be too, to a lesser extent).

That's the perfect crackout candidate for a 7070 set.

I like how the coin subtly retoned in light gold color on the fields, while the devices like the eagle are white, giving an attractive contrast.

Best "problem" coin I've seen in a while.
