I don't know any of you people but when I'm gathering from the comments above is that the best way to go if you have over 5 coins you need graded is to join the ana which will give you 5 free coupons for 5 coins graded free? and use registered mail declairing value when you ship them
No Joining the ANA gets you a free membership to NGC but it does not include any grading vouchers. You can upgrade your membership to a tier that includes grading vouchers.
@Doubledogdown Check thier websites to find out the requirements for membership. Some grading companies offer discounts and vouchers for joining. A lot of it IMO depends on what you want graded and how many you want to to grade. ANACS for example had a special 10 coins for $10 each, PCGS offers vouchers depending on the level of membership you wish and so on. Many people use different companies for different reasons and some use the same company for all of their submissions. You also need to factor in shipping and insurance costs. Shop around, but keep in mind that some of the TPG'S labels have a higher premium in the market than others. This is a 10 year old post and if you start a new thread you will likely get more responses.
UNIQUE or extremely high dollar coins are frequently graded and slabbed for free by TPG. They get more than their money back in free advertising. 1943 copper cents; 1913 v nickles; Brasher Doubloons; Proof 1895 Morgan dollars would all get a free slab. Lesser coins like 1909-s-vdb cents; 1877 indian cents; 1909-s indian cents; 1937-d three legged buffalos; 1916-d dimes wouldn't.
