    I bought a wheat penny off of a freind, he just had it sitting there on his desk, and he doesnt collect coins or anything, it was a 31-S, came back from anacs as VF-20. Oh, i bought it for 50 cents, lol

    Good to see that you made it over here,Cody.That's a bargain for 50c..I'm not sure how scarce a 1931S 1c. is.

    About 5 years ago I bought an 1864 Small Motto Two Cent Piece for $71 on ebay. Pics were horrible but was in constant contact with the seller so I went for it.
    Got the coin and saw it was an original piece that I graded as XF45. Sent it to PCI (yeah I know) and it came back as XF45.
    Greysheet bid in XF40 is now $435 so I'm happy.

    Can't forget about the 3 1999-S Silver Proof sets bought at mint issue price. Those have done pretty well.

    Cody,'SGS' stands for 'Scumburger 'Grading' 'Service'',or 'stevesgiftshopp',who is tied up with the shark called Aboncom.

    Picked up the 1997 Jackie Robinson 4-coin set for $1200. The BU $5 books for over $5K now. :kewl: But that only gets 2nd place. My 2000 $10 Library of Congress unc bimetallic cost me $380. Book is ~$3700 :mouth:

    1995 proof silver eagle. Not the W, but still worth like 8X what I paid the mint for when it came out.
