If all these 8888 bills turn out to come from the K district, then that means we'll have a K..P block (albeit a very short one). This will be the first new combo since we got C..J back in Series 1999.
Also, There is an "E" block up on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-8888-Luck...793482?hash=item1ea830dd0a:g:-AwAAOSw8-tWZjx7
Just got home from being in Cambodia and Thailand for 41 days and my two sheets were at the post office. Numbers are left to right starting at the top. Sheet 1: K88880858D, 88885858, 88882108, 88887108, 88883358, 88888358, 88884608, 88889608. Sheet 2: K88881154D, 88886154, 88882404, 88887404, 88883654, 8888 8654, 88884904, 88889904.
I also got some of the lucky 8 $1 bills that I ordered the same day. F88882828B, 88882829, 88882830, 88882831.
Okay, we've got K..B from quadrant 1, K..C from quadrant 2, and K..D and K..E with lousy images where the quadrants aren't readable, but the logical guess is that they're quadrants 3 and 4 of the same printing. So the next block might be more of a surprise. If it's K..F, then we'll probably see K..G, K..H, and K..I in short order. But perhaps instead we'll get blocks B, C, D, E on some other district.
Sure, or just let us know the plate positions (the little letter/number pairs at upper left of each note). Since your sheets are K..D block, I'm guessing that they'll be from quadrant 3 (positions A3 through H3). If they're something else, then we've got a stranger situation than I thought.
Great, thanks! So K..B is quadrant 1, K..C is quadrant 2, and K..D is quadrant 3. Presumably K..E is quadrant 4, and all four of them were printed in the same run, producing a total of 5000 of the 8-subject sheets. If the BEP sells 16,888 of these things, they're going to need several more runs. Let's see how long it takes for another new block from a different run to turn up.
And, yes, the K..E sheets are from quadrant 4. Mine came in the mail yesterday afternoon; it starts with K88880428E, position A4, plates 12/11. By the way, I ordered that sheet on the first day of sales in November, so the BEP must have gotten quite a few orders on the first day if it's taken this long to fill them all!
Yep. Ordered November 18, received December 9. I wasn't in the 8:00 am rush, though; I ordered on the afternoon of the first day. I think I ended up in line behind all the orders from the morning.
I ordered a second sheet on December 3. Still have not received it, so we shall see how long it takes to fulfill orders.
Received another sheet today . K-I block, with a 1250 skip between numbers. K88880091I, K88881341I, K88882591I, K88883841I K88885091I, K88886341I, K88887591I, K88888841I FP A4 through H4 fwA12 through fwH12 BP 9 on all. Have seen some K-F sheets for sale on eBay.
Added the K..F and K..I sheets to the website. There might have been a K..G sheet on Ebay a few days ago, but the photo was small enough that I couldn't be sure whether it was K..G or K..C, so I didn't list it. Now that you've got a K..I, there's almost surely a K..G out there somewhere, though. Since your K..I sheet is from quadrant 4, it looks like the first printing K..B, K..C, K..D, K..E was followed by a second printing K..F, K..G, K..H, K..I. We'll need probably two more printings to produce the maximum 16,888 sheets; I expect they'll either cover K..J through K..R, or else blocks B through I on some district other than K. (Depending on spoilage rates, the BEP might release as few as 14 blocks total. Fourteen blocks could supply 17,500 sheets, allowing for about 3.5% spoilage; I'm not sure whether the actual rate would run higher than that or not.)
Steve, how long ago did you order your sheet? I am wondering how backed up the BEP is on shipping out orders.
Today I received the sheet I ordered on December 3. The sheet is from block K section 2. Looks like they probably did go with J, K, L, M blocks. Spacing is still 1250.
Ordered 3 sheets. I have received orders from 11/18 (K-B) and 11/23 (K-I) and am still waiting on my last order from 12/13.
