Well, the Triple Deuce Sets contain 3500 notes each of K..B and K..C, and we were wondering whether the other 6500 possible 2017xxxx serials in each of those blocks would turn up. These new single notes are limited to 5000 per district, so all of the K notes *might* come from the same block...but the BEP does have both K..B and K..C notes on hand, so they might decide to use some of each.
That would be interesting to see. I think that would be a first for a single note set Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
My Dallas note came as a C block. Have you heard of anyone getting a B block note? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
My Dallas note was also a K-C (2009) note. The other three are series 2013. The BEP used some of the K-B in the Triple Deuce sets
No, I haven't actually had any reports that didn't come from this thread! Judging by how hard it is to collect data on these BEP products, I don't think the collector base for them can be very large....
They do sell out of some products, but 5000 of something is not a huge number. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
The BEP Money Store shows a total of 69 $2 Lucky Money (8 subject) sheets still available. Will this eventually sell out, and if so, when?
I can respond to this (belatedly). Yes, they are short on ideas. I've seen this in the proposed concepts for the intaglio print program. Karen Smith, their key marketing specialist, retired last year and they have not filled her position, they are just limping along. That's put a lot on the shoulders of staffers who, truth be told, seem pretty risk averse and not very progressive. Just my opinion.
FWIW, I ordered another sheet and got K..R, so it looks like we're done with the list of blocks (if there was any doubt). The sheet is also badly wrinkled--one corner got crunched hard enough that multiple folds extend onto the E and F notes. The mailer and the red cardboard backing are both fine, so the damage must have occurred as the sheet was being inserted into the packaging, not during shipping. I'm surprised this one passed inspection.
BEP announces the latest in a series of Lucky Money $1 notes. Available November 15th (8:00 AM) Lucky Money Year of the Dog. The last time Year of the Dog was offered was 2006 and sold out. http://www.moneyfactorystore.gov/yearofthedog2018.aspx
When I went on the BEP site this morning to buy some of the lucky money notes, I noticed the $2 "Lucky Panda" , coming next year - just the cover pic, no price, no details - never seen them announce a new item that way before.
Speaking of the BEP site--I'm not sure when it happened, but the $2 Lucky Money 8888 sheets are finally sold out.
Looks like the 2018 Lucky Money Year of the Dog has sold out. http://www.moneyfactorystore.gov/yearofthedog2018.aspx
