<p>[QUOTE=&quot;Morgandude11, post: 24749798, member: 37839&quot;]Haven’t been posting much, as I have been working on stuff, and blew my entire coin budget on new acquisitions.&nbsp; Since selling off many of my original full set of Morgans, I have concentrated in a few directions.&nbsp; One of them has been MS 70 and PF 70 moderns, with low mintages, and toned Franklins.&nbsp; At any rate, here are 3 of the 4 major acquisitions of the past 6 weeks.</p><p><br /></p><p>First is the&nbsp; 2023 Canadian ultra high relief Elizabeth II commemorative Maple Leaf reverse proof.&nbsp; It is 24 karat gilded, over .999 fine Silver, and monetized at 20 dollars.&nbsp; I think it is a beautiful issue, and is very low mintage, worldwide.&nbsp; It is the last of the “Elizabeth II” coins to be minted.[ATTACH=full]1583142[/ATTACH][ATTACH=full]1583143[/ATTACH]</p><p><br /></p><p>For the other major purchases, I went “all in” on both the MS and Proof Morgan and Peace Dollars for 2023.&nbsp; So far, I have received the MS and Proof issues.&nbsp; The reverse proof set of coins is on order with a dealer with whom I have done extensive business.&nbsp; They will be PF 70 NGC matched pair, from the same set, and I trust the dealer sufficiently to pick an attractive pair for me.</p><p><br /></p><p>Why did I pick 2023 over the 2021, and 2022 issues?&nbsp; I had a hard time with the “privy issues” of 2021.&nbsp; I saw them as neither fish, nor fowl.&nbsp; They were neither a commemorative, nor a continuation of the original series.&nbsp; I have softened up a lot about that, but I really like the look of the 2023 issues more.&nbsp; I find the planchets look better, the surfaces are better prepared, and just like the look more, in general.&nbsp; They are all beautiful coins, but I chose the “23” ones, as they are low mintages, not being price gouged like the 2021s, and appear as commemorative coins to me.&nbsp; Just one silver dollar collector’s opinion.</p><p><br /></p><p>At any rate, here are the 2023 MS and Proofs that I have now.&nbsp; I am waiting on the certified PF 70 reverse proof set.</p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]1583146[/ATTACH]</p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]1583145[/ATTACH][/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
