Because Im not Sure???

I found this quarter in a roll i got yesterday theres a line that goes from the top of the C diagonally left down through the E...theres no indent where the line is and ive tried to wipe it off with a glass cloth as not to scratch up the quarter anymore but its not coming off there...seems as if its in the die...Im posting this because i dont know and im curious.

IMO it doesn't appear to be a die crack with that being said I'm not a die crack specialist though.

I dont think its a die crack either maybe something was in there when it was pressed or something...im not an expert of any kind i just know when i see something that looks out of the ordinary. Its one of the reasons i joined this forum so i coukd read and hopefully suck up some knowledge

No your exactly correct it does look like a stain...?
