(snow was predicted that afternoon and I had a sixty five mile drive home).</p><p><br /></p><p>My first stop was Scripophily.com.&nbsp; I could&#039;ve spent the afternoon browsing through their stuff.&nbsp;&nbsp; They gave me some bookmarks so I was able to mark what I wanted to buy later on.</p><p>Next I stopped by Tom Larea&#039;s table,&nbsp; He has two online stores - scripophilyTrader.com and&nbsp; Vig.RubyLane.com.</p><p>Again, a very nice selection of certificates.&nbsp;&nbsp; Bought four certificates.&nbsp; Tom encouraged me to join the&nbsp; International Bond &amp; Share Society, <a href="http://www.scripomotion.com" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.scripomotion.com" rel="nofollow">www.scripomotion.com</a>, which I did.</p><p>He suggested I next visit <a href="http://www.clintonhollins.com" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.clintonhollins.com" rel="nofollow">www.clintonhollins.com</a>.&nbsp; Clinton&#039;s tables were located near the front of the room in the middle.&nbsp; He had a very very large selection of certificates.&nbsp; Bought another four certs.</p><p><br /></p><p>Why talking with a vendor that specializes in European certs I learned Bob Schwartz, from Archives InternationAL Auctions, had a table at the show.&nbsp; He called Bob over and we talked for ten minutes.&nbsp; He asked me to send him pictures of my currency and some of my certs.&nbsp; I had talked with Bob several times by phone so it was nice to meet him.&nbsp; Interesting guy he&#039;s a licensed dentist.&nbsp; I wonder if he gave up his practice.</p><p><br /></p><p>Then just made the rounds checking out the other vendors.&nbsp; More and more certs.&nbsp; One vender has some nice medals and currency.&nbsp; A couple of postcard vendors.&nbsp; I bought a&nbsp; racy postcard from&nbsp; the 1920s.</p><p><br /></p><p>One vendor occupied about one third of the back wall of the room.&nbsp; They only sold certs at two prices - $75.00 or $125.00.&nbsp; One of the women working there was browsing other vendors&#039; stock, then buying some to sell at the $75.00/$125.00 table.&nbsp; She did this for the entire two hours I was at the show.</p><p>At the show was the first time I noticed the selling prices penciled onto the margins of certificates, even on certificates selling for $349.00.&nbsp; Bummer, IMO.</p><p><br /></p><p>Because snow was predicted in the afternoon I left at 1:30pm.&nbsp; Besides, I hate driving on 495 during rush hour traffic.&nbsp; It never did snow.</p><p><br /></p><p>Mike</p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]382792[/ATTACH][/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
