Here are a couple that haven't been posted yet: Paulina (Wife of Maximinus Thrax): Annia Faustina (3rd wife of Elagabalus): Crispina (wife of Commodus) Galeria Valeria (Daughter of Diocletian and wife of Galerius): When Galerius died she was pursued (to death) by Maximinus Daia and Licinius, and she hoped to flee to territory under the control of Diocletian who also died. It changed her into one of the guys:
@AncientJoe lovely coins! Beautiful Faustina junior. @lrbguy ..Love the Paulina! But wouldn't want to meet her on a blind date..Pretty Galería though.....The first one!

I am of course partial to Orbiana, no denarius of her yet though. Just this AE as: Some more lovely necks for @Spaniard: (Sabina was reputed for her beauty, but her portraits rarely seem to display this... perhaps this one does.)
The only vestal virgin to ever become empress: AQUILIA SEVERA 2nd and 4th wife of Elagabalus AR Denarius. 2.93g, 20mm. Rome mint, AD 220-222. RIC 226. O: IVLIA AQVILIA SEVERA AVG, draped bust right. R: CONCORDIA, Concordia standing left, holding patera and double cornucopiae; lit altar to left; star in right field.
Ordinarily a vestal virgin who hooked up with a man would be sentenced to death and buried alive, but with crazy Elagabalus, it was "anything goes"!
Here are some of mine/ AR Denarius Lucilla 163-81AD Rome Mint/ struck 161AD 3.48g./20mm. AR Denarius Faustina Minor 147-176AD Rome Mint/ struck 165AD 3.45g./21mm. AR Denarius Julia Domna 193-217AD Rome Mint/ struck 214AD 3.05g./21mm. AV Tremissis Aelia Pulcheria 214-53AD Constantinople Mint/ sister of Theodosius II/ Wife of Marcianus
Yes... I was amazed and confused. I thought perhaps she was made empress without the necessity of having a husband who had conjugal rights or something. She was on my "Read up on this" list. (And she still is - because it's very strange, indeed!)
