<p>[QUOTE="GoldCoinLover, post: 402226, member: 4336"]Also, coin collecting is supposed to be fun, but for me, sometimes, it isn't. I have aspergers, which is a minor form of autism, where you have intense interest in certain interests, but obessively. I've had it since i was very young. I took a class at the ANA convention in phoenix and it had an 8 hour counterfeit detection class. I got to look at tons of counterfeit gold. It was wonderful and gave me great confidence. I asked Brian Silliman if I could spot most counterfeits, and he said I could. I was very flattered by that comment. I still try to look at as many gold coins as I possibly can so I know by color when a gold coin just isn't "right".Ever since then it seems almost every coin I've gotten Ive worried about it in some form or another, that's it faked, been cleaned, tampered with, to a ridiculous point. I told mark this, and having seen the coin and been an ex-NGC grader, he told me with confidence this coin wasn't cleaned, and was fine and orgininal. Several other people on different forums told me from the pictures, it looked fine, orgininal.
