Definitely fell off some time back. Does the term detached lamination infer that you have the coin and the delaminated piece?

Nice error if that's what it is. Maybe in hand it's a lamination error but in the pics, it looks like a gash.

Check for the 2 feathers variety. Third feather is normally short and at the back of the neck. Could be damage though...
