Is there any premium on bars hallmarked by a company that is no longer in existance?

I would be curious to know as well... as I have a 1000 Grains "The Franklin Mint" Sterling bar.

Usually off branded silver rounds or bars are discounted a little, maybe worth 98% of spot. This includes foreign government mints where the fineness may come into question. Unless they have unusual designs or something that would make them a collectible, they may be a little harder to dispose of compared to an ASE.
