Yeah, so you are probably reading this in anticipation of some great coin book I found at Barnes and Noble, but I must say this post is for the opposite end of the coin enthusiast spectrum. Today I went to Barnes and Noble to buy a good book (decided on Wicked if anyone was curious). I did what any other customer would, approached the cash register with my money and book in hand. The person in front of me, to my great shock, recieved the prez dollars in change from the cash register! He naturally looked at them as if saying, "What the heck?" but eventually went on his way. Meanwhile, I'm practially sweating with anticipation thinking, "Will I get one? Is it the 2009s? Don't let me get a bill! Don't let me get a bill!" I get to the counter, pay for the book, and the change to be recieved was $3.63. And, then it happened! I recieved my first three circulated dollar coins. I have yet to see these in circulation! It took all I had not to jump in excitement. I looked and sure enough, 2 Washingtons and a Madison! Kudos to Barnes and Noble for circulating the dollars! I figured I would do the same since I'm not a prez dollar fan. I kept the Madison for kicks and spent the two Georges at McDonald's for lunch. Man, what a day! Anyone else see these dollars in circulation or am I the only fortunate one?
