[QUOTE="Darchangel, post: 1613702, member: 37158"]Hey folks, I think I FINALLY will be getting my grubby hands on a good ole BRINKS box of halves! I was speaking with my coworker about my dilemma when he suggest that I just call Brinks directly to see if they'd at least point me in the right direction or let me know if there was a way to just buy directly from them as a private consumer. I figured the answer to the latter would be no (and it was), but I was delightfully surprised with the phone rep from a local office began rattling off banks in MA/So. NH that they do business with. I described the brown halves box that I used to get from BofA and he knew what I spoke of, then said that all the banks he listed should be able to order them.

I immediately called one of the BofA's from that list and described what the box looked like to the head teller. She said that she could order one for me! She also said that sometimes they get the long yellow boxes and explained that she believes "those come from some giant pile from the fed. The brown Brinks rolls are coin collected from customers and rerolled." I thought that was a pretty interesting theory and I supposed it could explain why I had soooo much better luck with mega boxes on Brinks as opposed to the 1 or 2 silvers I MAY see here or there in those long yellow boxes.

Anyone else believe her theory?
