I can understand it when I have to show them an IKE when I ask if they have any, but when I have to show them a Kennedy, it's a little frustrating. Just yesterday, I was asking for half-dollars and was told they are all out of the Washington's, but they have the Adam's. They didn't get the joke when I asked if they actually cut them in half.

    Tell you some luck...

Ten years ago I went to pick up Chinese for lunch... got something like .57 change back

When the cashier handed me the quarters they had that interesting "clink". A quick glance told me both were silver. I was so tickled with my find I almost didn't think about it, but... What are the odds of getting 2 silver quarters in change at the same register?

I turned back to the cashier, drawing a dollar bill out of my pocket. "Could you change this to quarters please?" "klink" "plink" "klunk" "plunk"... no way... NO WAY!

"Excuse me, I'm sorry but could I buy all your quarters?" She looked at me strange... "I guess... sure. I only have a few more here in the tray... and the rest of this roll in the back"

I walked out with 17 silvers. Now the kicker... I don't remember the dates or condition because I gave them to my EX wife that evening...

    ... oh well.
