Arrived at Whitman show around 1pm today. Not looking for much this year - art medals, 2011 whitman redbook, 2010 boy scout commemorative proof for one of the kids, plastic NGC boxes for slabbed coins. Bought the 2011 Redbook for $11.25 from booth #1327 (lowest price I could find at show) this guy always seems to have the best book prices at the show, but limited titles. While I'm waiting to buy the book his partner spent at 10-15minutes explaining to a woman the differences in prices among the dollar coins on display and he knew the woman wasn't going to buy anything. "I'm looking for dollar coin for my son but i'm not going to buy it now." Really good guys and fun to talk with. from another booth Bought the 2010 boy scout proof commemorative w/ box & coa for $55.00, bought a ten trillion zimbawe note for $5.00. didn't buy any art medals as the prices had escalated very nicely even on some medals I wanted to buy that I had seen at the show in June.

One dealer was selling silver bullion for very little over spot while others were asking $2 - $4.00 above spot. Many dealers wanting to buy gold and some of them aggressively soliciting from people walking buy.

Every dealer i asked if they are buying gold answered in the affirmative

At the check in booth picked up a couple of coupons for $2.00 off admission to the Odyessy's Shipwreck, Pirates & Treasure exhibition at the local science center.

Might be interesting to view the recovered artifacts including coins, gold bars, etc. I've traded this stock (omex) for years. This one is definitely not a buy/hold. I believe their recovered coins are overpriced.

http://www.shipwreck.net/
