I highly recommend this past time to any parent/s that are parenting, for not only will your kids set aside coins and spend bills to get more coinage(in their right age of course), it also brings the parent/s and child closer. It teaches them their numbers, chit chat about history, and fun old times talking coinage. My daughter learned how to add, subtract, and learned the general fundamentals of multiplication and division from me teaching her how to multiply starting with pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters... and she just finished 1st grade going on 2nd with 3rd grade reading and late 3rd grade math. Plus, I would not be able to forgive myself if my daughter does not understand the value of money, specially when the time comes when she has to buy something on her own, for I surely do not want to be robbed blind... and she sure does work for what she knows and what she has. Seeing all this from a hobby I picked up the beginning of the year, make every coin me and my daughter turned, worth more than the cents the coin is worth. Cheers to the parents who parent! A child can only know what they are taught ladies and gentlemen!
