This thread is the 3rd of 13 Jefferson Nickel GTG threads that I will post over the next three days. I will try to provide links to the successive threads so that everyone who responds to this thread will be notified. Each thread will start with the words "Baker's Dozen" as well so they can easily be found using the search function.

Please GTG of the 1943-P Jefferson Nickel shown below. I have attached a poll for you to cast your vote and you may select up to 3 different things: the numerical grade, the * designation, & the + designation.

As always, comments welcome, and please remember to vote in the poll.

I said MS-65 but I'm concerned about those obverse marks.

I'm progressively decreasing my grades as these threads continue...
    MS 66 here
...there are some hits/marks scattered throughout and the cheek has more planchet roughness than the prior two...the apparent luster actually pushed me up to a 66 from what I'd otherwise consider a 65

    I dunno...I feel like it's a 66 to me, but somewhere in my brain is saying it's in a 65 slab. a 65 slab.

This reminds me I have about a dozen 43-D's to include in my next bulk Jefferson submission.

MS 65+ because of the marks and what looks like a scuff on the reverse (could be on the holder), but lovely toning

I think the luster and toning carry it to MS66, but the surfaces on the obverse are a concern.

I'm at MS66. It has a few hits so I think 66 is a bit of a stretch but it has some pretty toning and booming luster which carries this coin.
