This bags been sitting in the closet for some time now it’s time to crack it open and see what we have. It’s supposed to be all pre eighties. The handful I gone through so far has been 79’ and down with a couple of wheaties to boot. So far not much. A nice circam, a real nice red 1969s that replaced a not as nice one in a folder and a clean brown 1965. I keep all 1965 thru 1967 that are clean just cause I like them. Good signs though it’s got S Mint coins, and I’ve seen 69s, 70s, 71s and 72 Phillies just not errors. But it’s nice to see the bag doesn’t look like it’s been cherrypicked I’ll try to post more as I get further into the bag. Reed.
Another three handfuls brought up two nice brown wheaties that upgraded a couple lesser quality coins. The folders these go into are my found folders most are worth under 25 cents. I keep the nice stuff in 2X2 paper and Mylar flips. I’ve been doing Lincoln cents fo close to 50 years and it’s all I do and 98% are found coins out of pocket change rolls or bags.
Today’s finds include a bunch of AU stuff from the seventies, worth squat and a re-plated 1943p worth less. It was a shiny day! Reed.
More pockets of really nice stuff from the sixties and seventies. I did come up with a common die clash in bay eight. Reed.
Well I’m about 3/4 of the way through and the trend is 4-5 wheat cents for every handful. A handful is about 125 coins. The nice pieces are still coming 1 or so per handful. Here’s a picture of the mess.
Finished up the bag nothing special which is kinda a bummer. I know this that the whole bag is copper 59 to 81. I pulled all the wheats. I’ll sell the rest on eBay. Reed.
Seems like you found a few fun coins. Sorry you didn’t hit the jackpot. There are many minor varieties and errors on variety vista if you want to re-search them.
