Several runs of the 2013 $1 New York star notes were printed with identical serial numbers from printing facilities in both Washington DC and Fort Worth Texas.
I believe I PMed you his email address which also happens to be at the bottom of the article I posted (twice).
I just found one of these notes today... Never even heard of them until this thread a few weeks ago and then one pops up in my change ... Unfortunately, it's pretty beat up and not a rare, short run either but will keep it just for the unique factor... Who knows.. one day maybe I'll find it's twin
*EDITED* I just looked through my stash of Star Notes and I actually have 13 of these Multiple Printing notes and two of them might be from 250k Runs... I must not have paid attention to the notice when I looked up the serial numbers and just saw that they weren't Low Print Runs.. No matches though and only two are in great shape
There's a good chance I had a few more because last year I started Stamping high-run Star Notes on Where's George and all of the B2013 notes I ever found were high-runs so they got stamped.. I checked my account and there were no matches for any of the 2013 B notes I have now, so at least I didn't stamp a twin and send it off .. that would have been a drag knowing I had matching notes and spent one of them
Jeebus... these notes are selling for $16 each on ebay (not even with it's matching partner) in average, circulated condition
Holy smokes. That’s a nice return if the initial investment was only $1 to begin with. But then again. How much of that profit is eaten if you sell it on eBay ??
I have no idea, but it seems the odds of finding it's partner are pretty astronomical so it could be a decent amount
