Backordered Bison Nickel

Regular shipping. Ordered 10 sets at approx 1:00 PM EST. Had a little trouble at first, but my order went thru.

My status also shows the rolls were shipped today and the order tracking confirms that. Based on past orders, I should have mine by Friday!

 

Boo. Mine are still on backorder. But, my proof sets have now changed from backordered to "in stock and reserved". Yea.

Are confirmation emails on back order too? I still haven't gotten one.

 

My bags were shipped yesterday so my HERD is getting closer to the house already! Don't know why I am so excited about these as they will NEVER be opened by me? Guess they will still give me a warm fuzzy feeling just knowing they are here safe and sound.

 

I'm in the same boat as you, longnine...still no confirmation email and I ordered them the first day. Although what I find even more interesting is when I go to the Mint website and plug in my order # to check status, where before it said it was backordered until 3/15, today it says it's backordered until 1/28/05....

I just checked and got the same message. However, I think U.S Mint might want to master something easy first, like walking to the water cooler without hurting themselves, before they try time travel.

But it's getting better. At least my order number now exists where it didn't yesterday.

Optimism..must remember...optimism...

 

These nickels!! They are circulating commems. (As are the state quarters, I suppose).

 

JUst to add to the confusion, I got 2 confirmation emails with the same order #.
I just wonder if some idiot at the mint is going to bill me twice.
I have not checked my order status yet, I suppose I will now.

 

You might want to phone the mint. I had the same thing happen to me with mint sets, and they sent me double what I ordered. If you have two different order numbers, you will get the same shipment twice. The mint did finally straighten it out over the phone, but it cost me postage and delivery confirmation to get the second shipment back to them. And no, they did not offer to pay postage on their mistake.

The US Mint website now has pushed back the shipping date on the new Bison Nickels until 3/20/05. Yesterday is was 3/16/05. Does anyone have any idea why they are changing the shipping date every few days?
I am thinking it must be the demand for the product. Did they just not have enough on hand to ship to everyone on Feb 28th? Has this happened before? I mean changing the backorder and shipping dates so often. My items have been backordered from the mint before, but never like the last few items. It is getting too regular these days.

Back order till 3/19....now

 

Mine was first backordered until 3/16, then 1/28??, then 3/18 as of yesterday...now this morning it says in stock & reserved. I'll believe it when it actually arrives in my mailbox

 

My bags are due today, if coming by USPS, or probably Monday if by Fedex! Don't know why I am so excited as I will never open them (at least not planned at this time) so just having them safe and secure here will make my day!

 

That's what my order status says also.

 

I just ordered mine on Friday and it said the D's were in stock and the p's were not available until 3/16. Will they ship them seperately? Or will they wait to send them both at once? DOes anyone know?

 

I never received one, either. I called the mint (7-day phone service -- yay!) to verify that I'm in the queue. Hopefully the computer that the service rep uses is linked to the computer that the shipping department uses. I'll know in a couple weeks, I guess.

 

Well my bags DID NOT show up Friday so now I am suffering from withdrawal! Even my weekly trip to the coin shop on Saturday could not pull me through this terrible affliction of buffalo fever. Hopefully Monday will bring a full recovery?
