B&M Story Help me understand the rationale on price for 40% silver

    Your first response was very educational, not sure what prompted the second reply.

    My reaction is exactly what I would expect from someone who has not had to worry about the costs of refining war nickels. I knew the costs of refining 90% is about 10%. And I am certain the costs of refining war nickels is higher. Just have no idea how much higher.

    The idea behind this thread is to help collectors understand: What they will face when they do buy and later try to sell lower percentage silver? What are fair expectations? Those are both reasonable questions and something it would be helpful for us all to understand.

    If based on the costs of refining, 40% is a decent offer, then I am seriously underestimating the refining costs.

    I mean no disrespect towards dealers that I am sure face tough margins.
