this history channel had a show about Ancient UFOs and one thing the mentioned wyere flying shields shooting beams of light and destroying a city Alexander was attacking, ( or something along those line)
I checked out PBS's The Roman Empire in the First Century, it's "Eh." Takes about 3 hours out of a rainy day, but a lot of time is wasted on that dude in jerusalem. I'd rather that time have been spent describing intrigues amongst the rulers of Rome proper. They hit some details, then skipped some others in a way that if you know what they skipped it makes them look lazy.. I guess we're destined only to find mass-market "primers" on DVD rather than the deep info.
