I have been given another unusual coin which I am hoping to identify, I think this is an Austrian Ducat but from research so far, I'm not sure if this is genuine as there is info stating that the ducat is faked a lot. Wear has also occurred in the area where the date should be, please see photos. It would be great if someone could possibly identify whether or not it is worth anything and what the history of the coin is. Thanks Kesef Sent from my Aquaris M5 using Tapatalk
Hi! I'm David and this is my very first post here. I am curious what the mark at the six o'clock position on the obverse is. Appears to be the same mark or symbol at the five o'clock position on the reverse. I do not see that mark or symbol on the ducats pictured in my KM catalog. See also http://www.cointalk.com/t867/ . . . or http://coinquest.com/cgi-bin/cq/coins?main_coin=17542. Good luck!
No, it hasn't. There is no date there because there never was a date there. It's a replica, and a poor one at that.
