Auction verification/required docs question

Hi again everyone. Thank you for all the information and insight. I decided to send them an email asking if there were any alternative ways of being verified. They replied that another form of ID would suffice. So I’ve decided I will send them my drivers license, but will cover over everything but my name, DOB, my states name at the top, and my address. Basically just give them what is most necessary. And a clarification to my original post; it is an auction platform that I made an account with, as opposed to an individual auction company/business.
