Maximian Herculius was always only Augustus during this time period whereas Galerius Maximian was first Caesar and then Augustus. Therefor coins bearing the titulature MAXIMIANVS plus NOB C, NOBIL CAES, NOB CAES, NOBIL C, etc., can only be those of Galerius Maximian.
