    This question has come up a LOT, and the answer is Washington crossing the Delaware. There has also been discussion of designs for all coins commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, and after that a five year program showing animals (one per year) and a five year program of youth sports (again one per year). So far there has been no legislation on those last three.

    They have chosen a design and this is it.
