Can I be an adjunct professor of Early Date Large Cents? My EAC number is #1799 (just means I'm OLD) and I love attribution.

Sounds like a decent plan, so long as it's run properly. You can't say "this is how it's done, period" and expect everyone to follow suit. It's a hobby, not a science. Mistakes aren't really mistakes as much as they are learning lessons, and without them you've learned nothing at all. Hopefully what you guys do is give sound but lenient guidance to those who want it and allow them to discover the hobby and forge ahead on their own. A helping hand goes a long ways, but a firm grip will ruin the experience quicker than you can imagine.

    Best of luck.

Good words of advice, Guy, and I think they should try to outline some of the topics and assignments for their instructors. I still don't think that I am good enough to be one, but we'll see how it goes.

We will be giving the instructors guidance. No worries. Everything will play out in time.

I'm always up for learning. Sign me up. I'm a mod on another (non coin related forum) and realize many PM's can become overwhelming so I'll keep most of my stuff in open forum unless i really hit a wall. I'm all for guided learning though. Thanks for putting this together! I look forward to seeing the format!

If you're wondering where the groups are, go to the top bar at the top of the CT page. Below the Classifieds button, there is a Community button. Wave over that and click the top button, Groups. Then you should see The Newbie Institute.
