Recommending specific eBay sellers is very different from posting a current auction listing. Recapping some old and frequently made points about posting active auction listings: other CoinTalk members might be targeting the auction coin someone innocently posts. This is a no-win situation. The CT member might be successful in acquiring the coin but for a higher price due to competition which might not otherwise have known about the coin. The winning member, if different from the person posting the active listing, might be viewed as having "stolen" the coin out from under the person posting the coin when in reality they were after it all along.
This 'one more' idea brings up a matter I consider interesting. My fourree tetradrachm has a small test cut near the tail that shows a tiny bit of core. I like to imagine that it was made first followed by a question as to what was seen or imagined that led to the cross body cut that removed all doubt. One more was needed to settle the question. I have no idea who made them but there are several plated owls that appear to be casts from test cut coins that were then plated so there would be silver in the cut that could fool someone who thought the coin had already been tested and passed. Compared to my coin above, these are terrible low quality attempts that really should have not fooled anyone except a person who never had seen real owls. Perhaps that was a reasonable percentage of the people in the market so it was worth trying???
