Show me where please, I have never seen a late Athens Tetradrachm for below $100 USD, in any condition. Barring some sort of auction fluke of course, and even then.
I am shocked that someone did not point out to the price reduction you get when your tetradrachm has a test cut. This was under $100 when I got it but today you might need one a bit more ugly to break into double digits. This was $65 from a dealer well known for being expensive in 1990 but the coin is too high grade to still be that cheap. IMO the test cut is bad enough to start to add value back. I know one of our number has one that is nearly cut in half by its cut and definitely is special because of its suffering and not in spite of it.
