    That's a good buy. I probably lowballed my estimate.

    As for investment - that's a secondary consideration, at best, I think. Enjoy the coin. Maybe your interest is kindled and more research on Athens and the Athenian owls might lead to you further enrichment in knowledge, something that money can't buy.

    Very nice, even strike. I have a couple of these, but I am looking for one where the helmet's crest is on flan that it's cost will not break the bank.

    I like it. I'm partial to nice toning, and on an Owl that's rare. Yours is very nice, with some honest wear. Price paid seems pretty much in line with the current market. Congratulations!
