I personally have reported SO FAR myself sense December of last year, 24 count it, 24 counterfeit Seated Liberty Dollars, passed off as the real thing by sellers. Now I myself am an eBay seller, however I do not understand why when someone gives me the heads up why I do not take it down, but then I think about what some of you said about it being financially in their favor and then I say to myself, of course I'm not gonna take it down, because that would mean I would loose money. Well I will give eBay some... and only some, because out of the 24 I reported, they removed 3! Its a miracle!!!! I watched as eBay let the other 21 go to buyers. This is just an unfortunate act of life I say, another hit to collectors I'd say. Now as for the three that did get pulled, they were somewhat good in their deception to a beginner but to all of us we would have spotted it a fake right on, due to the poor quality of the details and lettering of the coin. The one that frustrated me the most was a 1865 dated dollar where the date wasn't even using the correct font of the time which really just made me shake my head. The other very similar to this was a 1843 and the four was an OPEN FOUR? what?? LOL!! I couldn't help but laugh before I called on this one. I really wish I keep the pictures because it sure would have made you question how it even made it to $100 before being pulled.
